So the multi use plastic bags that consumers used to take their purchases home are banned, yet plastic packaging to excess proliferates in supermarkets as this example shows. Consumers are inconvenienced, checkouts take longer to navigate, green bags hold potential health issues with cross contamination if not cleaned and disinfected.
