PEOPLE won’t give Nestle a break over its cheesy new Kit Kat.
The Twitterverse is slamming the melon and cheese treats now being sold at Japanese airports after their limited release last week, according to the Mirror Online.
“This should not be a thing,” @SickChirse tweeted.
“Ew,” another user tweeted.
Even adventurous eaters weren’t sure if they’d like the new combination.
“I’m a big fan of the various flavours of Kit Kat that come out in Japan, but I might pass on melon and cheese…,” @tgR_tsuru tweeted.
But some were willing to give it a try, saying they were interested in the combination of melon, mascarpone cheese and white chocolate.
“Melon and cheese flavoured Kit Kat is so insane i would actually buy one and try it … imagine if it was good?” tweeted @superroberston.
The strange snack is one of three new flavours launched in Japan including Japanese Strawberry and Uji Matcha, which uses the green tea powder.
If the cheese flavour is a hit, it could one day reach Australia. Heaven help us all.
