‘Yes, I can have sex!’ Wheelchair tennis star and three-time Paralympic gold medallist Dylan Alcott offers a very blunt response to the question he’s asked most often about his disability

He’s an inspirational wheelchair tennis player, three-time Paralympic gold medallist and popular Triple J radio host.

But for many people, there’s just one question they want to ask athlete Dylan Alcott.

During an in-depth interview with Andrew Denton that will air on Tuesday night, the 27-year-old reveals what fans are most curious to know about his disability.

‘Yes, I can have sex!’ Wheelchair tennis star and three-time Paralympic gold medallist Dylan Alcott will offer a very blunt response to the question he’s asked most often about his disability during his appearance on Channel Seven’s Interview on Tuesday

In a preview clip that aired during Sunrise, Dylan turns the tables on his interviewer by asking Andrew: ‘Want do you think the number one question I get asked is?’

Andrew guesses the question is: ‘Can you have sex?’ Dylan then confirms he is correct, replying: ‘”Can you have sex?” And yes!’

While Dylan has been linked to long-term girlfriend Kate Lawrence for years, it is unclear whether they are still together.

The athlete hasn’t appeared in social media posts with Kate in the past six months and the pair also don’t appear to be following each other Instagram.

Last year, Dylan told News.com.au: ‘People think my life is really hard, but I love my life as it is. I think you can do anything in this life whether you’re in a wheelchair or not. I go to festivals, nightclubs, I travel the world, I’m loving my work on Triple J.’

‘I get sent a lot of stuff about stem cell research but I’ve never bothered with it because I’m happy with how I am,’ he added.

In 2016, Dylan became the first wheelchair tennis star to win the Newcombe Medal, the highest honour in Australian tennis.

Dylan has rubbed shoulders with many high-profile athletes and celebrities over the years, and even enjoyed a friendly match with Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger in March.

Speaking of his plans for the future, Dylan told The Daily Telegraph last year that he has his sights set on the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
