The AACS Gala and Awards Dinner 2012

Wednesday 22nd August 2012 – a date not to be missed.

The annual AACS Gala and Awards dinner will be held at the magnificent Park Hyatt hotel in Melbourne this year. This event will also incorporate announcing the winners of the Peter Jowett Industry Award.

Also, for the vey first time AACS is pleased to present a Supplier Expo prior to the Gala Dinner.

This action packed day will commence at midday with the opening of our Supplier Expo. A select number of suppliers will be showing their products and services so we encourage you to arrive early and to meet with the exhibitors.

Light snacks and beverages will be served at that time in the Expo area.

At 2:00pm sharp we will commence with the judging of the Peter Jowett industry Award finalists – 3 retail finalists and 3 supplier finalists. Members are encouraged to attend the judging to see the excellent presentations which will be made by the finalists and to vote for the winner. One vote per Member Company will be allowed, but you are encouraged to bring along others to support the finalists and to participate in the judging.

The Supplier Expo will continue until the start of the Gala dinner so please spend time there after the judging concludes around 4:30pm.

At 6:00pm cocktails will be served in the Expo area, and dinner will commence at 7:00pm.

We are very pleased to have as our MC for the night Tracey Curro. Tracey has worked on all Australian commercial free to air television networks on nationally broadcast news, public affairs and magazine programmes. She has presented evening prime time news for the Ten and Nine Networks in the Melbourne and Brisbane markets, and spent six years travelling the globe as a reporter for the popular science and technology series Beyond 2000, and then for 60 Minutes

This year we have two amazing entertainers String Diva as well as Darren Percival, the popular finalist in th erecent ‘The Voice’ competition, and importantly we will again recognise excellence with the supplier and retailer of the year awards.

There will also be three terrific travel prizes given away on the night – just drop your business card in the bowl at the registration table.
