A man was shot early this morning during the robbery of a convenience store in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police report the victim was shot in the arm and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting occurred at a convenience store on Springvale Rd in Springvale South about 4.30am.
Police spokeswoman Leonie Johnson said investigators were trying to establish if the shooting was linked to a nearby armed robbery of a service station on Heatherton Rd just minutes earlier.
“A search for the offenders is currently being conducted,” she said.
Police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
