SAVANNAH, Ga. — Traditionally a must-have feature of fast-food chains, Parker’s is finding out that drive-thru windows work in the convenience channel as well.
The convenience store chain opened its first drive-thru location in Statesboro, Ga., in June 2014 and will cut the ribbon on its second, in Vidalia, Ga., on Friday, Aug. 21. The newest location brings Parker’s store count to 38.
“We’ve had such positive feedback to our first drive-thru location in Statesboro, we decided to open our next drive-thru Parker’s at this prime location in Vidalia,” said Greg Parker, company president and CEO.
The product mix at the new store includes the company’s signature Chewy Ice, fountain drinks, fresh-brewed tea and lemonade, gourmet coffee, locally grown fresh-cut fruit, salads, 28-degree beer, and vapor products.
The 24-hour store features 16 fueling locations, including non-ethanol and diesel fuel. The Parker’s Cash Card or PumpPal Card, which offer savings of up to 10 cents a gallon at the pump, will also be available at the new Vidalia location.
“At Parker’s, we offer highly competitive gas prices and quality customer service,” Parker said. “We also save our customers time, which is the most valuable commodity of all. Fast, fresh and friendly is more than just a motto at Parker’s. It’s a promise we make to our customers each and every day.”
Parker’s has been ranked on Inc.’s list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years and has opened eight new stores over the past year.
Based in Savannah, Parker’s operates 38 convenience stores across the region and employs nearly 500 individuals throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
