Convenience store decisions
Ranks first for coffee in overall satisfaction, recommendations and price value.
Already voted as making the best cup of coffee in America, QuickChek continues to be the recommended choice close to where those in the Garden State live and work, too. In a survey of retail food service companies, the Whitehouse Station, N.J.-based convenience store chain came in first in Overall Satisfaction, Recommendation and Price Value for coffee in the third quarter of 2014.
Coffee drinkers remain dedicated to their favorite brand: QuickChek outsold Starbucks in hot brewed units during the quarter despite having 40% fewer locations (124 stores to 208 measured in the survey).
The survey was conducted by StudyLogic, a global market research company, which asked 19,502 respondents throughout North and South Jersey to rank vendors including QuickChek, Wawa, Starbucks, Subway, McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts and 7-Eleven in a variety of food and beverage categories.
QuickChek came in first in Overall Satisfaction for coffee with a 4.65 rating on a scale of 1 to 5 with a score of 5 being very satisfied. Dunkin Donuts was second (4.50) while Starbucks and Wawa tied for third (4.49 each), followed by McDonald’s (4.24), 7-Eleven (3.65) and remaining vendors.
QuickChek was also first in Recommendation (8.45 out of 10.0), ahead of Starbucks (8.40), Dunkin Donuts (8.22), Wawa (8.17), McDonald’s (7.71), and 7-Eleven (6.76).
QuickChek also came in first in Price Value (9.39 out of 10.0), ahead of Wawa (8.98), Dunkin Donuts (8.92), McDonald’s (8.57), Starbucks (8.01) and 7-Eleven (6.86).
Further establishing its position as the neighborhood shopping destination, QuickChek was the only retailer in the survey with less than 200 locations in the market.
“We are very pleased consumers continue to think so highly of our brand,†said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling. “We’ve built this company by being totally committed to what the customer wants and we will continue to provide an exceptional fresh food and beverage program that can be enjoyed any time day or night.â€
In another survey recently conducted by Technomic of the 20 largest convenience store chains by number of units that offer foodservice operating in the U.S., plus QuickChek and Pilot/Flying J, which were chosen for their distinctive offerings, QuickChek was voted No. 1 in Overall Beverage Quality and Food Quality.
QuickChek’s fresh food and beverage program features touch screen technology enabling consumers to enjoy custom- made oven-toasted subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The company prides itself on its fresh-brewed coffee, renowned for its high quality and wide variety of coffees roasted using their proprietary select blend that incorporates only the world’s finest beans, along with the widest variety of lighteners and sweeteners anywhere in the country, enabling customers to create their favorite brew exactly as they like it 24 hours a day.
QuickChek recently introduced its new Reserve Blend regular coffee to meet consumer needs for a richer, bolder, taste.
The family-owned-and-operated company currently operates 138 retail locations throughout New Jersey and New York’s Hudson Valley, including 11 pharmacy stores and 45 locations with fuel, and is opening its first store on Long Island in October 2014.
