TWO teenage boys are being hunted by police over a fatal stabbing at a Queanbeyan service station.

Emergency services were called to the Bungendore Road Caltex service station just before midnight on Thursday after an employee arrived at work to discover an horrific scene.

A co-worker appeared to have been repeatedly stabbed. Despite frantic efforts to save him, the 29-year-old died at the scene.

It’s understood the killing may have been captured on CCTV cameras that monitor the busy Caltex station, about 15 minutes outside Canberra.

A search of the service station revealed damage had been caused, but no one other than the victim was found. Officers from Monaro Local Area Command established a crime scene, which is being forensically examined this morning.

Police said they were hunting two teenage boys, believed to aged 15 and 16, who were “likely together”.

The fact police have revealed such specific information like their ages indicates officers may already know who the two boys are.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach the boys, but to contact triple-0 (000) if they see them.
