Philip Morris workers on chopping block with up to 150 jobs lost

TOBACCO giant Philip Morris is slashing its Australian workforce, with up to 150 jobs across the nation on the chopping block.

The cuts will mainly affect sales representatives, but the company hopes to transfer some of the 150 staff into other roles.

Philip Morris put Tuesday’s announcement down to a changing retail landscape which didn’t require as many boots on the ground.
