“This honor further validates what our customers tell us every day—that we deliver the ultimate in convenience store products and services at a fair price,” says Parker’s CEO.

Parker’s, a convenience store chain with 27 retail locations throughout southeast Georgia and coastal South Carolina, has ranked No. 3006 on the annual Inc. 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies list.

“We’re grateful to our customers for making this honor possible,” said Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker. “Their loyalty has helped make us one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies. This honor further validates what our customers tell us every day—that we deliver the ultimate in convenience store products and services at a fair price.”

The 2012 Inc. 500/5000 list, which will officially be unveiled in the September 2012 issue of Inc., marks the most competitive group of companies in the list’s history. To make the cut, companies needed to achieve significant sales growth between 2008 and 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008 and were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2011.

“Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs and drive the economy forward,” said Inc. magazine editor Eric Schurenberg. “Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”

The Inc. honor comes on the heels of Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker being named C-Store Innovator of the Year by The Griffin Report and Entrepreneur of the Year by the Savannah Morning News. Parker’s joins a growing list of local companies that have been included on the prestigious Inc. list, including Savannah Bee Company, Coastal Logistics Group and Genesis Designer Homes.

Founded in 1976, Parker’s has earned accolades for its PumpPal program, which has saved Parker’s customers nearly $2 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has nearly 55,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker’s currently operates 27 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
