Parker’s Breaks Ground On Newest Convenience Store

The Bloomingdale, Ga. site marks Parker’s 31st location.

Parker’s officially broke ground this week on its latest state-of-the-art store in Bloomingdale, Ga., in response to customer demand.

The Bloomingdale store, located at Hwy. 80 and Zeigler Road, will offer discounted gasoline as well as nearly 4,000 square feet of retail space.

The company’s 31st location is expected to open to the public in June of 2013.

“We’re delighted to open a new location in Bloomingdale, where we received a number of requests from customers who live in west Chatham County,” said Greg Parker, president and CEO of The Parker Cos. “Parker’s is the Low Price Leader. We hope our latest store will exceed customers’ expectations, delivering competitively priced gas, the products customers want most and our signature attention to detail.”

The Bloomingale store will offer signature Parker’s items like a gourmet coffee bar, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice, fresh-brewed iced tea, snacks and all the quality products Parker’s carries. The location also features innovative LIFT Retail Marketing Technology, which ensures quality customer service.

Parker’s will also offer its 1-Cent Wednesday ‘Fueling the Community’ program at the new Bloomingdale location. On the first Wednesday of every month, Parker’s sets aside one cent of every gallon of gas purchased to donate back to community schools.

The company’s PumpPal program, which offers discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased, has saved customers nearly $2.7 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has more than 65,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker’s currently operates 30 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
