Yesterday, New Sunrise hosted over 120 supplier partners on the picturesque backdrop of Darling Harbour as they celebrated its strong 2025 performance and introduced its 2026 supplier partnership strategy at the Supplier & RDM Forum, reaffirming its commitment to industry leadership, member success, and future-proof investment across its network.
Opening the forum, New Sunrise reinforced its purpose and strategic direction, highlighting its unwavering focus on helping members win every day through targeted investments that keep their business ahead of the competitive curve.

That means investing ahead of the curve and partnering with suppliers to create enduring value,” said Director, Andrew Cardinale.
“Our stores are more than just a place to shop, they’re about creating meaningful connections within the community.
This commitment is exemplified by our members, who have saved seven lives through our ‘Heart of the Community’ initiative”.
Proudly announcing they would be allocating another 100 AEDs into their network in 2026.
Cardinale underscored the life-saving power of conversation and highlighted the significance of New Sunrise’s partnership with Beyond Blue, a collaboration that has already contributed an impressive $85,000 to support mental health initiatives.
The session featured an in-depth review of 2025 results and a forward-looking roadmap for the food category in 2026, outlining plans to accelerate growth through sharper category strategies and supplier collaboration.
“We’re excited to share our 2025 performance highlights and a clear category strategy for 2026 that will unlock growth for our partners, especially across food,” said Joseph Alessi, National Merchandise Manager.
They also heard from Head of Marketing Samantha Smith on future fit marketing and National Retail Support Manager Deborah Adnum on data insights and plans for 2026.
The session concluded with a toast to the success of the year that has been and the festive season ahead.
