NEW FUEL DISCOUNTS AT BP SERVICE STATIONS FOR AUSTRALIAN DRIVER PARTNERS AND DELIVERY PEOPLE

From today, Uber driver partners and delivery people across Australia can access new discounts on fuel at over 650 (and counting!) participating bp service stations across the country.

This is the latest in Uber’s commitment to the hundreds of thousands of Aussies who earn using the app, and this new partnership with bp delivers increased savings potential when it comes to the cost of fuel. Driver partners and delivery people can now save between 6 and 12 cents per litre (which varies based on their current Uber Pro tier). They’ll also be eligible for in-store offers and discounts at select participating bp service stations, including Wild Bean Cafe barista coffees, miniwash carwash services and other shop offerings.

“Driver partners and delivery people are the beating heart of the Uber platform, and we’re always working to help improve their experience and make it more meaningful,” said Dom Taylor, General Manager at Uber ANZ. “We’re always listening to feedback from our earner community, and we’re excited that bp is introducing these new discounts as part of our partnership. We will continue looking for ways to leverage the power of Uber’s network to deliver value for the people powering the platform.”

All driver partners and delivery people need to do to access these discounts is to register for a BP Rewards Unlocked account via their Uber account. There are over 650 bp service stations where fuel discounts will be available at launch, and this number is expected to grow in the coming months as more bp service stations come online.

Frédéric Baudry, president of bp Australia, said, “I’m thrilled to be welcoming Uber driver partners and delivery people to fuel up and shop at bp. For more than 100 years, our goal at bp has been to keep the world moving. Our new partnership in Australia with Uber reflects our commitment to continue to respond to the mobility and convenience needs of our customers, and is another major milestone for our business.”

This partnership builds on the global strategic convenience delivery partnership between bp and Uber that was announced in March 2022.

*Note: Uber’s previous fuel discount program with Ampol will expire on 9 Nov 2022.
