130+ of The Distributors Sales Representatives, from most of the 38 Warehouses of the Group, attended a two day training and development weekend at The Novotel Wollongong focussing on increasing their understanding of the Impulse / P&C market place, facilitated through the introduction of a 7 step process: 1 Plan, 2 Explore, 3 Respond, 4 Feedback, 5 Overcome, 6 Resolve, 7 Make it Happen
During Day 1, Brett Barclay, of Advantage Australia Research Group, provided the audience with a brief outline of the 2012 AACS State of the industry report.
Then Category reviews presentation completed the afternoon session, from key supplier partners Mondelez, Nestle, Snack Brands Australia, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, Wrigley & Frucor.
Day2 focussed on Skills development and the introduction of a 7 step process “PERFORM†to improve the overall customer experience and effectiveness.
Role play allowed great interaction among participants with some elements of fun to boost Team building.
The 3days were concluded on Sunday with a guest speaker, greatly appreciated by the audience, Justin Herald the founder of the Attitude clothing brand, who spoke about how you can be successful by being different.
