McDonald’s is preparing a major shake up of its McCafé menu with 10 new drinks being offered in two Aussie states.
The new items will be available as part of a global trial from Wednesday in 500 stores across Queensland and Victoria, with no word yet on when they’ll come to menus in other states.
“Aussies are some of the first in the world to try the new beverage menu, launching as part of a major global McCafé drinks trial – one so significant it will help shape the future of McCafé drinks globally,” a McDonald’s spokesperson said.
The new drinks range includes iced and cold coffees, fruit juices, soft drink blends and Red Bull-infused “energisers”.
The McCafé brand has steadily grown since its launch in 1993, now selling more than 600,000 cups of coffee per day, representing a quarter of all coffee sales in Australia.
“McCafé started in Australia as a homegrown coffee brand and is now evolving into a true beverage destination,” said Annabel Fribence, Chief Marketing Officer for McDonald’s Australia.
“This is just the beginning.”

Iced and cold coffees
Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with Oat Milk: espresso and brown sugar, shaken over ice with oat milk.
Iced Golden Caramel Latte: vanilla and caramel with espresso and whole milk, served on ice and finished with caramel sundae topping.
Iced Velvet Mocha with Cold Foam: espresso base blended with chocolate and caramel, topped with cold foam.
Choc Coconut Frappe: Chocolate frappe base, served with coconut syrup.
Refreshers
Strawberry Watermelon Refresher: strawberry and watermelon blended with lemonade over ice, with freeze-dried strawberries added on top.
Popping Mango Refresher: mango and pineapple with lemonade served over ice, featuring strawberry popping pearls.
Crafted sodas
Berry Blast and Sprite: blended with blue raspberry flavour, topped with cold foam and served over ice.
Popping Green Apple and Sprite: served over ice with green apple popping pearls.
Energisers
Red Bull Peach Boost Energiser: Red Bull with sweet peach flavour, served over ice.
Red Bull Dragonberry Energiser: Red Bull blended with blue raspberry and vanilla flavour, topped with frozen dragon fruit and served over ice.
Red Bull 250mL: Classic Red Bull Energy Drink.
