Licence Reform Survey for NSW

Dear Sir or Madam,

The NSW Government has asked IPART to examine all licence types in NSW and identify those where reform would produce the greatest reduction in regulatory burden. There are currently about 1,000 different types of licences in NSW, affecting individuals, businesses and the community in general.

We are seeking the views of all licence holders on their experiences of licensing in NSW and the associated costs. To obtain these views, we have just released a Web-based survey on the NSW Government’s public consultation portal Have your say. The link to the survey is http://haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au/redtape-licence-review

This is a short survey, which should take about 15 minutes to complete. We ask that you complete the survey or, where relevant, forward the link to the survey to your members and associates.

We believe that providing the opportunity for individuals, businesses and other organisations to share their experiences as licence-holders is a very important part of our review. Your response to the survey will help us to identify priority areas for licence reform.

If you have any questions about the survey, please email us at LicenceReform@ipart.nsw.gov.au or call 02 9113 7769.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

Matthew Edgerton
