Dear all,
We are delighted to have received such positive response to our email a fortnight ago regarding our return to Australia via him! international.
We commit to keeping everyone up to date with developments with the launch, and then share findings as we start to receive them. If there are colleagues who you feel should also receive these emails, please let us know.
Research timings:
We plan to conduct the shopper research in Australia in September. The research will take approximately 3 weeks to complete and the first results will be available towards the end of October.
The research will be nationally representative and be chain-specific by a number of key accounts.
Results can be benchmarked within Australia (by key account) but increasingly with key accounts in other nations.
Additional research areas:
Every organisation which is in the programme – or which is considering joining the programme – can influence the research (i.e. input into the questionnaire). We want to make sure we are addressing the issues important to you to and your organisation so that the insights can be used commercially, and add real value.
Here are examples of what people have asked us to focus more on in the Australian research:
Are there categories or category segments where range is less important than price?
Do shoppers actually compare prices between supermarkets and P&C stores?
Can we identify the % of shoppers who buy for immediate consumption vs for later?
Will the growth of Aldi actually assist P&C stores? In what areas? In which categories?
How important is “the front of store†area and “countertop†displays?
How many shoppers ONLY buy from the counter-top display area?
Is POS effective?
Shoppers’ views on up-selling?
The AACS Conference, 12th August 2015
We are delighted to be speaking at the AACS Annual Conference on 12th
August, in Melbourne. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
We are going to share ideas from around the world on top-up shopping, how discounters are emerging more like convenience stores in some markets, and how the P&C sector can attract and retain “top talentâ€.
If you would like to hear of other initiatives, please let us know.
MEETING DATES AROUND THE AACS CONFERENCE
We’d love to meet you on or around the AACS conference date to discuss further our plans for him! P&C shopper insights in Australia. Shall we book in a time to meet up – formally or slightly less formally?
Yours sincerely
The him! international team
