The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce recently honored Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker as the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Parker was recognized at the 2013 Business Expo and Awards Banquet, held on Oct. 24 at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.

“Greg Parker truly defines the spirit of entrepreneurship,” said Bill Hubbard, president and CEO of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. “Under his leadership, Parker’s serves as the gold standard in the highly competitive convenience store industry. Plus, Greg always finds creative ways to give back to the community. We’re delighted to honor such an exceptional leader and innovative entrepreneur.”

Parker’s has been ranked on Inc.’s elite list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for two consecutive years. Company president and CEO Greg Parker has been honored by the Savannah Morning News as the Entrepreneur of the Year.

The company operates successful convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Beaufort, Long, Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Effingham and Bulloch counties.
