Parker’s presented a check for $4,000 to the Beaufort County School District on Nov. 20 as part of the company’s Fueling the Community program.
This donation is part of a larger $20,000 charitable contribution to area schools in Georgia and South Carolina.
“By any measure, education serves as a critical factor in determining future success,†said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Parker’s. “This donation is an important way for Parker’s to make a meaningful investment in the future of Beaufort County.â€
Parker’s donates one cent of every gallon of gas purchased at all of its convenience stores on the first Wednesday of the month to community schools through the Fueling the Community program. The company’s charitable initiative officially launched in the fall of 2011 and has donated money to public and private schools in every community where Parker’s does business.

Parker’s customers can sign up for a PumpPal card online at www.PumpPalClub.com to select a school of their choice for their one cent per gallon donation. Existing PumpPal members can access their account online and select a specific school to receive donations.
The company’s PumpPal club, which provides discounts of up to 10 cents on every gallon of gas purchased, has saved customers $2 million since the program first launched in February of 2011. Today, the PumpPal program has more than 57,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
Parker’s currently operates 28 convenience stores across the region and plans to open additional locations in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties within the next year. A new convenience store on Hwy. 21 in Rincon will open in December 2012.
Parker’s currently operates 28 convenience stores in six counties throughout southeast Georgia and South Carolina and sells Parker’s proprietary brand gasoline.
