THE finalists from The Voice will release debut albums on the same day to give the three a fighting chance of turning their popularity into record sales.
Full offerings from Darren Percival, Rachael Leahcar and Sarah De Bono will be available on July 13 in a carefully managed strategy by their record company Universal.
Consisting of 10 tracks, each album will feature songs performed on The Voice, the artist’s debut single and a handful of new covers.
Percival’s album Happy Home has his version of Stevie Wonder’s For Once In My Life and Paul Young’s Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home).
Fans of Leahcar will be able to relive the singer’s stunning rendition of La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf and Over The Rainbow by Judy Garland on her release Shooting Star.
De Bono has covered Duffy’s Warwick Avenue and Usher’s Burn on her record No Shame, along with show favourites including Price Tag and How Will I Know.
Despite the finalists losing out to eventual winner Karise Eden, all have scored hit singles in the ARIA and iTunes charts and are set to repeat the feat with their first official single released Friday.
In what would have been their winner’s singles, Percival’s is called In The Blowing Wind, Leahcar’s is Coming Home Again and De Bono’s is No Shame. The tracks will be available as part of their albums.
