Fair Work Ombudsman’s ‘Reasonable steps’ to promote workplace compliance in franchise networks
There have been recent changes to workplace laws which set clear expectations that franchisors need to consider to prevent the exploitation of workers in their franchise system.
The FWO has released its Guide to promoting workplace compliance in your franchise network to assist franchisors with promoting sustained workplace compliance in their networks.
It includes:
- information about new workplace laws that apply to franchisors
- practical steps for franchisors to promote workplace compliance in their networks
- real life examples to illustrate best practice approaches
- a checklist that businesses can use to assess and benchmark current practices
- guidance about where franchisors can seek further assistance.
