A mix of seventy retailers and suppliers joined the AACS Downunder Study Tour in Sydney last week. Before receiving an update into the 2017 AACS SOI report and insights into the exciting AACS Study Tour to China in September, the group also heard from the AACS Chair and Head of Marketing at 7-Eleven, Juie Laycock as well as a presentation by Amanda Woollard, GM Retail at BP Australia. Terrific opportunities to meet and hear from experienced people in our industry.
We thank our attendees and importantly the various businesses that hosted our Tour this year – some excellent examples of convenience retail were seen. More details and photos will be featured soon.
I would also like to thank our store hosts for their time, courtesy and refreshments as we visited the terrific stores seen on the AACS Downunder Study Tour. Some really great examples of the high standards in convenience retail that we have in Australia: Jack & Co St Marys; Caltex Foodary at Werrington and Bondi Junction; BP Urbanista; BP Silverwater – Egerton Street and Derby Street; Woolworths Metro Marrickville; 7-Eleven Clarence Street; Bel & Brio and Romeos Martin Place.
