AACS hosts Australian Business against Crime workshop

Last week AACS hosted the second Australian Business against Crime workshop in Melbourne -an AACS initiative. We were joined this time by the Jewellery Association of Australia. Both industries have suffered from instances of escalated crime in recent years.
A terrific panel of presenters spoke about the issues that affect business and the community and in articular prevention and deterrence.
Presentations were made by Ed O’Donohue, Shadow Minister for Police, Corrections and  Community Safety in Victoria as well as: Michael Oboler Jewellers Association of Australia, Rohan Pike ARA Glen Lighton  HUD Security Pty Ltd  (electronic tracking), Detective Superintendent Debra Robertson  APM, Detective Superintendent Peter Brigham  State Anti-Gangs Division (incorporating Armed Crime), Crime Stoppers, Matt King Smokeshield Australia and VDMS Russell Davies.
