VALPARAISO, Ind. — Family Express launched a new Free Fruit For Kids program in order to provide children with fresh, healthy snacks. Children age 12 and under can now receive a free banana, pear or apple when they visit any Family Express convenience store.
The Valparaiso-based chain believes every child deserves easy access to healthy food choices, and it is committed to providing healthy alternatives to its customers, Family Express wrote on its website.
The Free Fruit For Kids program joins the chain’s storewide “Better For You” initiative, which ensures that the Cravin’s Market inside each Family Express store offers a healthy assortment of Greek and regular yogurts, fruit cups, veggie/snack trays and more.
Customers can share news about the program on social media using the hashtag #FreeFruitForKids.
Family Express operates 65 convenience stores throughout northwest and north central Indiana.
